Kellech's practice incorporates contentious and non-contentious IP law, including opposition, infringement and revocation proceedings before the Federal, Full Federal and High Courts of Australia. She holds a degree in science, with a major in chemistry and advises on the patent infringement and validity, trade marks, registered designs and copyright; consumer protection trade practices issues; IP due diligence and trade mark prosecution. She has extensive experience in general commercial litigation with particular focus on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and life sciences fields, and sector experience in mining, energy and resources.
Kellech has advised on the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 in pharmaceutical patent matters and on applications for drug listings and medical devices on the ARTG. Kellech has advised on the drafting and review of IP agreements including licences, assignments, options, and the array of agreements for research and development, collaboration, joint ventures, distribution, material transfer, service and consultancy, and confidentiality.
