Dr. Karsten Raupach is a partner in the finance department and a member of our global restructuring and special situations group
Karsten practises primarily in the area of banking and finance with a focus on domestic and international restructurings, and on leveraged and project finance transactions.
He has broad experience (across various industry sectors) acting on out-of-court financial restructurings relating to loans, promissory notes (Schuldscheine), bonds or other instruments, acting on financial restructurings in connection with German insolvency proceedings, including insolvency plan proceedings, and on cross-border restructurings, including financial restructurings by way of UK schemes of arrangement and multi-jurisdictional insolvency proceedings under the European insolvency regulation.
Karsten regularly publishes on insolvency law issues.
Prior to joining Ashurst, he worked in the finance and restructuring departments of other leading international law firms in Frankfurt and Munich.
