Jose Christian Bertram

Jose Christian specialises in lending (leveraged, corporate, project finance and asset based) transactions as well as debt restructurings, loan to own structures and NPL portfolios and structured finance and securitisations.

He has advised Spanish and international clients on the finance aspects of large cross-border transactions and large acquisition finance and corporate finance transactions in Spain, having been also heavily involved in project finance transactions. Jose has further advised lenders and borrowers in landmark debt restructurings and has acted recurrently on the buy side for both secured and unsecured NPL portfolios and related debt-on-debt structures.

Jose Christian has wide experience in structured finance, acquisition finance, restructuring and refinancing as well as extensive experience advising funds in debt restructuring and NPL portfolios.

Some of his key clients are Deutsche Bank, GSO, Chenavari and HIG.
