Jo Slater is a senior associate in our planning, environment and first nations practice
Jo specialises in the areas of environmental, planning, energy, land access and Aboriginal cultural heritage laws. She acts for a range of corporate and Government clients in the energy, telecommunications, transport and resources sectors around Australia.
Jo has been seconded to the in-house legal team of two of Australia's largest telecommunications companies and draws on this experience to provide clear, practical and business-focused advice. She has particular expertise in telecommunications land access and planning.
Jo is actively involved in Ashurst's pro bono program and is the co-ordinator of the Sustainability Business Clinic run in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and the Special Circumstances Advocacy program run in collaboration with Youthlaw Community Legal Centre.
