Jeremy Chenoweth is a partner in our dispute resolution practice

Jeremy specialises in commercial, construction and infrastructure disputes. He works closely with clients in the energy and resources sectors, advising on the development and administration of significant private and public infrastructure, power generation plant construction and refurbishments, and mining and petroleum lease developments.

Described as a "leading construction disputes lawyer" and "constantly thinking of ways to protect the client's position" (Legal 500 Asia Pacific), Jeremy is also acknowledged in Best Lawyers in the field of Construction/Infrastructure, Litigation and Oil and Gas Law, and in Doyle's Guide to Leading Construction Lawyers. He is the joint head of our Australian arbitration practice and leads the firm's regional mining disputes capability. 

Jeremy works closely with clients to understand their business and strategic objectives. He has held positions on the leadership team of the US $18.5 billion Santos GLNG Project as Queensland Legal Manager and lead construction lawyer, and on secondment as senior in-house Counsel with BHP.  

Jeremy holds several board appointments and is a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne Law School. Jeremy is a Director of the Society of Construction Law Australia, immediate past Chair of the QLS Mining and Resources Committee, a Member of the Centre for International Minerals and Energy Law, and a Member of the Practice and Procedure Board of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA). Jeremy is also a current Director of Engineers Without Borders Australia.
