Jeffrey Yow is a counsel in our derivatives and structured products practice
Jeffrey has extensive experience acting for global investment banks on the establishment and renewal of their structured products programmes for both retail and wholesale markets, including for compliance with the EU and UK Prospectus Regulation regimes and the transition from Interbank Offered Rates to risk-free rates. He specialises in structured securities linked to a range of underlying reference assets such as equities, funds, commodities, foreign exchange, indices, reference rates and credit, and across various product wrappers. He has also advised on the documentation of proprietary strategies.
Jeffrey studied Law at the London School of Economics on an undergraduate scholarship from the Central Bank of Malaysia and upon graduation, joined the Central Bank as an in-house lawyer for its investment and treasury operations. Prior to joining Ashurst in London, Jeffrey worked at a leading regional law firm in Singapore specialising in financial services regulation and OTC derivatives.
