Jarred Gerson

Jarred advises Australian and international clients on privacy, outsourcing and complex technology contracting, with a particular focus on privacy compliance strategies, data breach response and Consumer Data Right (CDR) obligations. He works closely with Ashurst Risk Advisory to deliver integrated legal and risk advice across major projects and has been a key contributor to Ashurst’s cyber incident response work. Jarred focuses on privacy, data and cyber, and is known for his commercial and creative approach to solving complex regulatory and contractual challenges.

In 2024, he completed the IAPP’s AI Governance Professional (AIGP) certification, strengthening his ability to advise on the ethical and regulatory deployment of artificial intelligence. He has supported clients across the telecommunications, energy, insurance, banking and professional services sectors, and has acted for organisations including x15ventures, Bupa, AGL and EnergyAustralia.

Jarred is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
