James specialises in the structuring and documentation of complex financing transactions and investment products using derivatives, together with the related collateral, security and risk management issues.
James advises on derivative transactions across the full range of asset classes (including equity, credit, rates, foreign exchange and commodities) and on associated areas, such as repacks, repo, securities lending, prime brokerage and custody.
In addition to transactional work, James regularly advises on regulatory issues associated with derivatives (including margin rules and clearing) and IBOR transition.
James's clients include leading banks, investment firms, asset managers, insurers and reinsurers.
