Isabella advises on Australian competition/consumer protection law. Isabella has experience in managing complex multi-jurisdictional/international antitrust and foreign investment matters.

Isabella has acted as in-house corporate counsel covering the Asia-Pacific region for an FTSE 100 global hotel and resort company with a leading loyalty and rewards program. Isabella has knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to the hotel/travel industry and is skilled in negotiating hotel management and franchise agreements.

Isabella has achieved successful outcomes in ACCC merger authorisation and clearance, for third-party complainants in ACCC reviews and proceedings, as well as ACCC enforcement investigations relating to alleged anticompetitive mergers, anticompetitive agreements and misuse of market power.

Isabella takes a particular interest in advising consumer facing organisations on growth initiatives, operational issues and strategy. Isabella can draft submissions and bespoke agreements to meet diverse business needs, as well as facilitate training on ACL compliance including on the issues of: unfair contract terms, unconscionable conduct and misleading or deceptive conduct.

Prior to joining Ashurst, Isabella was part of the Sydney Antitrust team of a Magic Circle firm and worked on a number of high-profile transactions, investigations and infrastructure access matters. Isabella also has experience attending mediation and in novel litigation before the High Court of Australia, Full Federal Court of Australia and Australian Competition Tribunal.
