Heather Shand

Heather is a Senior Associate in Ashurst's Projects and Energy Transition practice, based in London. She has significant experience advising clients on a range of projects and commercial contracts in the infrastructure, transport, energy and utilities sectors. She has worked closely with the UK Government and public sector bodies, including regulators such as Ofwat, on major projects and has developed a robust understanding of different regulatory and funding models.

Heather has a keen interest in the energy transition and energy security. She recently completed a fourteen month secondment to Great British Nuclear, which is responsible for driving the delivery of new nuclear projects. Prior to her secondment, she advised the UK Government on the innovative, pathfinder Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage programme and Hydrogen programme including the Hydrogen Production Business Model.
