Gwladys leads Ashurst Risk's risk modernisation practice and regularly advises clients on  core risk elements including risk appetite statements and frameworks, risk and compliance systems reviews and uplifts, the development and uplifts of risk frameworks and policies

Gwladys has 16 years of experience across professional services and financial services with a focus in banking. She is passionate about helping businesses deliver positive customer and community outcomes, while delivering value for shareholders. Her work experience spans across the United States, Australia, and Africa. As a Director for a Big 4 professional services firm in Australia, she advised senior risk leaders, executives and boards on forward looking conduct as well as remediation. Gwladys has led enterprise, conduct and culture risk assessments for numerous ASX listed companies across various industries and sectors. She has developed a national trust in banking index, led APRA Governance, Culture Remuneration and Accountability (GCRA) self-assessments for several APRA regulated entities, and advised several organisations on BEAR and FAR implementation. In her role as a Big 4 Advisory firm's Governance, Regulation and Conduct Director, Gwladys developed a conduct risk accelerator which she delivered to over 80 Board members of ASX listed companies. She has advised several organisations on, and developed non-financial risk Board reporting frameworks. In her roles as Head of conduct risk and risk culture for a multinational financial services group across 8 countries, she led the development and implementation of programs across conduct risk and the fair treatment of customers, whistle blowing, conflicts of interest, responsible competitive practices, anti-bribery and corruption and culture risk assessments. Gwladys is a certified ethics officer, a certified anti bribery and corruption practitioner and holds degrees in political science and business administration.
