George Barlin is a senior associate in our dispute resolution practice
George practises in complex commercial litigation, white-collar crime and regulatory investigations. His experience encompasses large scale disputes in the state and federal courts, as well as in the High Court of Australia. Those matters have included contractual disputes, Commonwealth criminal prosecutions, breaches of directors' duties, fraud, negligence and claims under the Australian Consumer Law.
George has acted for a range of clients including financial service providers, banking institutions, insurance companies, telecommunications providers, fast food franchisors and Members of Parliament. He also has experience supporting clients in responding to crises and investigations in data breach, whistleblower and 'bet the farm' situations. Prior to joining Ashurst, George worked for a Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.
