Derek is a Counsel in our China corporate practice based in Shanghai. He specialises in both inbound and outbound China-related M&A transactions, general corporate matters as well as regulatory and compliance matters (including data and privacy and employment matters).
Derek has advised leading industrial players and international and PRC financial institutions on a variety of China-related investment projects, including establishment of wholly owned entities, joint ventures, merger and acquisitions, restructuring and general corporate regulatory matters. Derek has also acted for Chinese SOEs and private companies for their outbound investment in Asia, Europe, Australia, South America and Africa.
Derek speaks Mandarin and English.
