Conor Funston is a counsel in our finance practice
Conor's practice is focused on Islamic finance and debt capital markets. He has substantial experience in advising leading financial institutions, funds, corporates, government departments and central banks on a wide range of Islamic financial products and services including capital markets, acquisition finance, Shari'ah compliant investment funds, structured products and derivatives. He also has extensive experience in advising both issuers and underwriters on debt capital markets transactions, in addition to advising clients on the financing, structuring and implementation of blockchain technology and crypto asset projects.
In addition to his transactional work, Conor has also advised government institutions, regulators and central banks on a range of matters including, the development and implementation of regulatory regimes for capital markets products and the establishment of central bank facilities.
He is recognised as a leading partner in Islamic finance by Legal 500.
