Clarence Ding is the head of our employment practice in Asia
Clarence has over 15 years of experience advising Singaporean and multinational clients in Asia on the full spectrum of issues spanning the life cycle of the employment relationship (and beyond). These include employment-related litigation involving contentious separations and the enforcement of restrictive covenants.
Clarence has developed a particular expertise in the area of investigations. He routinely manages whistleblowing complaints involving employee misconduct matters; leads sensitive internal reviews into allegations of harassment, bullying and discrimination; and assists clients with downstream remediation and workplace awareness training.
Clarence also has significant experience dealing with white-collar crime and regulatory issues. He often conducts internal investigations into allegations of bribery, corruption and fraud across the region; and assists clients with their regulatory and compliance needs, including in respect of data privacy breaches and deferred prosecution agreements.
Among his numerous accolades, Clarence is ranked over consecutive years as a “Next Generation Partner” for Labour and Employment by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific and an “Up and Coming” partner by Chambers and Partners. He was also recognised as one of Singapore’s “30 Most Influential Lawyers Under 40” by the Singapore Business Review and was named one of International Employment Lawyer’s inaugural “Tomorrow’s Leaders”.
Clarence is qualified in both Singapore and the UK, and is a specialist mediator accredited by the Singapore International Mediation Centre.
