Camilla Counsel

Camilla Counsel is a Senior Associate in our Projects and Energy Transition practice based in Melbourne. She brings extensive experience advising government agencies and private sector clients on a broad range of major infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on large-scale developments.

Camilla’s expertise encompasses the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex contracts relating to design, construction, procurement, and services, across a variety of contracting models. She is highly skilled in preparing tender and contract documentation and provides strategic advice throughout the lifecycle of major projects, including during delivery and administration. Her pragmatic approach ensures that clients receive clear, commercially focused guidance on risk allocation, stakeholder management, and dispute resolution.

Camilla’s in-house experience includes serving as a secondee Managing Principal Lawyer at the Level Crossing Removals Project and as Senior Legal Counsel at Hickory. These roles have provided her with valuable insights into project delivery from the client’s perspective, deepening her understanding of construction procurement, contract management, and the complexities of both head contracts and subcontracts.
