Arne Fuchs is a partner in our dispute resolution practice and heads our global practice for public international law and investment arbitration

Arne is a trusted advisor to corporate and sovereign clients in commercial law matters and complex disputes across industries and jurisdiction. He has vast experience with disputes revolving around large scale infrastructure and energy projects (conventional, nuclear and renewable), M&A transactions, metals & mining, as well as innovative product and industry transformation issues, including in the automotive, crypto, health, pharma & chemicals, and TMT sectors. He has experience with disputes under most major institutional rules (including ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, SCAI, SCC and DIS Rules), the ICSID Convention and UNCITRAL Rules as well as with pure ad hoc arbitration.

In addition to his role as counsel, Arne is also acting as (sole/co-/presiding) arbitrator.

Arne has been recognized by Global Arbitration Review (GAR) 2023 as a "Global Leader" and "National Leader (Germany)" for arbitration. He has been recognised among the 2023 JUVE '40 under 40'.  Similarly, leading directories such as GAR 100, Chambers, Legal 500 and the Expert Guide Commercial Arbitration recommend him for his dispute resolution expertise. Arne is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (FMIArb). He is included on the list of arbitrators of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), the Panel of Arbitrators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), the original pool of arbitrators and mediators at the Court of Arbitration for Art (CAfA) in The Hague, Netherlands as well as the Panel of Mediators of the Energy Community in Vienna, Austria.

Arne serves as delegate of the German National Committee of the ICC on the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and is a Member of the HKIAC Users’ Council as well as of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). He regularly speaks on international arbitration topics and teaches training courses and workshops on dispute resolution.

Arne is admitted to the German Bar. He is a native level German and English speaker, speaks fluent French and reads Spanish.
