Alicia Crossley is a senior associate in our employment practice

Alicia advises a broad range of clients across the private and public sectors on all aspects of strategic employment and industrial relations matters. This includes advice on termination of employment, occupational health and safety, discrimination issues, enterprise bargaining, and transmission of business.

She also advises on employment matters arising in the context of corporate restructures, sales, and acquisitions, and supports corporate clients in managing employment issues, including those relating to senior executives.

Alicia has experience engaging with regulators such as the Fair Work Ombudsman and representing clients in employment-related litigation in courts and tribunals. This includes unfair dismissal and general protections claims before the Fair Work Commission, discrimination claims at the state and federal levels, and adverse action and employment-related litigation in the Federal Court of Australia.

She also delivers workplace training and conducts workplace investigations.

Deal experience

  • Sojitz Corporation: advising Sojitz Corporation in relation to its acquisition of Capella Capital, a Lendlease-owned infrastructure platform which consists of infrastructure project asset and management, and principal equity investments in major PPP projects including Melbourne Metro and North East Link in Melbourne, valued at ~$470 million.
  • Cleanaway: Advising Cleanaway Waste Management Limited (ASX: CWY) on the cross-border acquisition of 100% of the shares in Contract Resources Group Pty Ltd valued at ~$377 million.
    Pyridam: Advising PT Pyridam Farma Tbk on its proposed $326 million acquisition of Probiotec by scheme of arrangement.
  • River Capital: advising on the employment matters related to River Capital's entry into a binding Scheme Implementation Deed with Midway Limited, under which River Capital acquired Midway by way of a scheme of arrangement valued at ~104 million.
  • Kin Group and L Catterton: advising on employing matters in relation to the purchase of a 49% interest in Australian manufacturer of fermented beverages and other food and beverage products, Remedy Drinks Pty Ltd, from Lion (in addition to Kin Group's existing shareholding).
  • Navis Capital: advising Navis Capital on the employment due diligence aspects of its acquisition of a majority interest in Caring Group and minority interest In Sygnal.
  • Sojitz Corporation: advising on employment matters related to Sojitz's acquisition of 100% of the issued shares in Albert Automotive Holdings Pty Ltd which owns Dutton Group.
  • Cobham Limited: Advising Cobham Limited and its parent Advent International on the divestment of its regional services business division to a subsidiary of Regional Express Holdings Limited (ASX: REX).
