Aaron Cole is a counsel in our intellectual property practice

Aaron has extensive experience with commercial intellectual property matters including advising on complex intellectual property transactions. He is an expert in relation to intellectual property licensing and asset transfer arrangements. He also supports Ashurst's Corporate Transactions and Projects teams by providing specialist intellectual property input on due diligence exercises, advising on risk and risk mitigation strategies and negotiating intellectual property transaction documents. Aaron's work is often cross-jurisdictional.

Aaron also acts in relation to contentious intellectual property matters. He regularly advises in relation to intellectual property enforcement and defence, and has advised on contentious trade mark and patent matters at the UKIPO and High Court.

Aaron holds dual law and pharmacology degrees which, in combination with training at a patent attorney firm, gives him a unique understanding of life science and patent matters from a commercial intellectual property perspective. Aaron has also completed a master's of intellectual property from the University of Oxford.
