Ashurst took the award for Restructuring Team of the Year in recognition for its work advising the Financial Conduct Authority on its successful Court opposition to Amigo's scheme of arrangement. This was a ground-breaking judgment which sets a number of landmark precedents for schemes of arrangements generally. The firm's digital economy team were also recognised for advising the UK Government, and its contracting agent the British Business Bank, on its procurement of the design, delivery and administration of the Emergency Loan Schemes (including Future Fund and CBILS), taking the title of TMT Team of the Year. Partners Chris Bates and David Futter led Ashurst's digital economy team on these schemes, supported by senior associates Adam Eskdale and Denae Engelbrecht and associate Harry Newton. The wider Ashurst team included partners Karen Davies, Philip Vernon and Tom Picton, senior associate Jacob Gold and counsel Ed McNeill.
