Ashurst strengthens Intellectual Property practice in Germany with new counsel

    International law firm Ashurst has strengthened its team in Frankfurt with the appointment of IP lawyer Dr Fabian Klein to its digital economy team.

    Dr Fabian Klein joins from DLA Piper, where he had worked since 2011. Advising clients on all areas of intellectual property, his practice focuses on trademark law, unfair competition and the protection of business secrets. Fabian has extensive experience in the enforcement of IP rights in litigious and non-litigious proceedings, in advising on complex IP contracts and in advising on M&A transactions from an IP law perspective.

    Fabian will work closely with partner Dr Andreas Mauroschat and counsel François Heynike. Digital economy is a key area of focus for Ashurst and offers clients from various industries advice on digitisation, particularly in the areas of Fintech, Infratech, Proptech and TMT. The group provides legal solutions in all major disciplines, including strategic commercial agreements, M&A, financing, outsourcing, IP rights, data protection and other key commercial activities.
