Global law firm Ashurst advised SIS Consortium and the special purpose vehicle SPN on the transaction and also advised SPN, as borrower, in relation to a EUR90 million VAT financing.

The project includes the construction and extraordinary maintenance works, with around EUR390 million investment, to modernise and improve the safety of several sections of the highway, as well as carrying out of the operation and maintenance of the road. The Ashurst cross-practice and multi-jurisdictional team was led by partner Umberto Antonelli supported by London-based partners Helen Jones, Anna-Marie Slot, Alex Biles and Patrick Boyle, counsel Natalia Sokolova, senior associates Sarah Gant and Eileen Kelly, and Milan-based senior associate Nicola Toscano, associates Yasmina Tourogou, Paolo Gallarà, Riccardo Rao, Cristiana Montesarchio and Federico Piccione for capital markets and banking aspects. Partner Elena Giuffrè supported by senior associate Chiara Familiari and associate Gianluca Di Stefano advised on administrative law aspects, and partner Michele Milanese advised on tax profiles.
