Global law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of 30 partners, the largest ever cohort of new partners in the firm's history, reflecting the continued growth and strong performance of the firm. The promotions take effect from 1 May 2024.

The promotions are drawn from 14 practice groups, with notable investments in disputes (27%) and projects & energy transition (37%) in line with client-demand, and span 12 of Ashurst's 31 offices across Asia, Australia, EMEA, the UK and the US. Of the newly promoted partners 43% are female, an increase of 11% on last year.

"For the third year running, we are delighted to appoint a record-breaking number of partners to the global partnership. This is a testament to the strength of our business and the ongoing confidence we have in the growth opportunities ahead. Our 30 new partners are an outstanding group of talented legal and consulting professionals, who embody the collaborative and inclusive culture that is at the heart of our firm, and I would like to congratulate them all on their well-deserved promotion," said Ashurst's Global Chair, Karen Davies.

Karen added that this round of promotions, the largest in the firm's history, demonstrates Ashurst's continued commitment to, and investment in, developing a diverse pipeline of talent. "This next generation of leaders represent our commitment to the growth of our business, as well as our investment into the future of the global firm and that of our greatest asset - our people. Our new partners have each made a crucial contribution to the ongoing success of our clients, our people and the firm. I am confident that each and every one of them will play a pivotal role in helping us to continue to deliver a strong performance and outpace the market, as we realise the ambitions we have set ourselves as a firm."

"It is great to be celebrating this important career milestone of our new partners, of which they should be exceptionally proud. It is a point reached by merit, talent and continued drive and commitment," added Ashurst's CEO, Paul Jenkins. "The broad geographical and practice mix of our newly promoted partners, who cover every region in which we operate and nearly every practice group, reflects the depth of our bench and the strength of our global platform, and allow us to respond to the significant opportunities ahead, as we continue to steer our business forward and work towards achieving our 2027 Strategy."
