Patrick advises domestic and multinational clients on complex commercial disputes, class actions, corporations and securities law and commissions of inquiry.
Patrick has significant experience acting for numerous clients in high-profile complex litigation. Those matters have included, acting for a major mining company in defence of allegations brought by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission involving contraventions of continuous disclosure obligations and securities law, acting for an international ratings agency in a parallel class action and independent litigation in the Federal Court of Australia, acting for a former CEO and director of a multi-national listed entity in defence of proceedings regarding accounting obligations, and acting in regulatory investigations and commissions of inquiry for a major Australian bank, a government entity and a multi-national listed gaming entity.
Patrick has worked with overseas counsel in disputes involving proceedings in Australia, the US, Europe, the Middle East and New Zealand.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and is admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and as a solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
