Joao is a Director at Ashurst, part of the Risk Advisory Team, focused in Data Analytics.
He is based in London and on top of his recent industry experience as Head of NLS Tuning at Deutsche Bank, he has more than 13 years of consulting experience in Professional Services. He specialises in Data Analytics and recently he has been focused on Anti Financial Crime - Sanctions, with experience of managing and leading projects involving Sanctions technology: filter testing and tuning, lookback reviews, and the provision of technical SME support for Financial Crime transformation projects. Prior to his work in financial crime, Joao gained experience of Consulting - Technology, where he spent half of his career utilising technology to solve his clients’ problems, typically creating solutions involving change and improvements across business processes, technology, and people.
