Frankfurt wins new EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority AMLA – Germany stands ready

    On 22 February 2024, the EU finally voted alongside strong competitors in favour of Frankfurt, Germany, as the future headquarters of the new EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority AMLA, which aims to effectively counter money laundering, terrorist financing and financial crime within the EU. In addition to ECB, EIOPA, Bundesbank and BaFin, AMLA will join the German financial centre from mid-2025.
