Clare Doneley

Clare Doneley is a counsel in our digital economy practice

Clare specialises in strategic technology sourcing, digital transformation, privacy and cyber security.

Her work in these areas includes major IT and business process outsourcing projects, energy transition and advising clients in relation to data risk management and privacy issues, including responses to cyber events and data breach notification matters. Clare also leads the IT, commercial contract and data aspects of complex cross-border M&A transactions and separations.

Clare works closely with the Ashurst Risk Advisory team on regulatory uplift projects, including compliance with operational risk management standards and regulation of critical infrastructure assets.

Clare is recognised as a Next Generation Partner in The Legal 500 2024 IT and Telecoms (Australia); as the Outsourcing Law Lawyer of the Year in Best Lawyers Australia 2024; and Doyle's Guide to Leading Lawyers TMT (Qld) 2022.
