Campbell Johnston acts for a range of financial institutions, credit funds and corporates/sponsors on cross-border corporate finance, acquisition finance and real estate finance transactions. He also has a strong interest in sustainability and is a member of the APLMA Green and Sustainable Loans Committee, and spent three years working for Ashurst in London.

Campbell is qualified in Australia (Victoria).

Acting for ANZ on the financing of Stockland's land lease community portfolio.

Advising a syndicate of lenders in relation to a $1.6bn green loan to a renewable energy provider.

Acting for the bank group to Reece Limited, in connection with its $1.25b refinancing of existing TLB debt and additional redrawable working capital facilities. The transaction highlights the liquidity in the Australian loan market and its ability to compete with other sources of global finance.

Acting for HSBC on various cross-border facilities provided to Australian-based businesses with a significant overseas presence.

Advising a US-based private equity group in relation to the senior and mezzanine facilities for the acquisition of a Sydney CBD hotel.

Advising a US-based private equity group in relation to the financing of its luxury tourism assets across multiple jurisdictions.  The transaction involved numerous stakeholders, including governments and members of the local communities which are instrumental in the success of these businesses.

Acting for ANZ on the financing of various disability housing 'buy and build' investment portfolios.

Advising the syndicate lenders on the financing for David Jones and Country Road Group.

Advising a syndicate of lenders to Opteon Group Holdings Limited, an international provider of valuation, advisory and specialist property services through innovative software solutions.

Acting for a syndicate of lenders to an ASX-listed waste management and recycling business.
