Anna-Marie Slot is our first Global ESG and Sustainability Partner, appointed in 2019, and the Global Head of High Yield Debt. Anna-Marie has two decades of experience acting for investment banks and companies in a wide range of corporate finance and securities transactions, including high yield debt offerings, green bonds, liability management including consents and tender offers, refinancings and numerous securities transactions, such as Rule 144A and Regulation S debt and equity offerings, as well as mezzanine debt investments and senior credit facilities.
As the Global ESG Partner she leads the firm's ESG strategy through engagement with clients and internally. She is co-head of the Fintech Legal Labs focusing on the intersection of fintech and sustainability.
Anna-Marie has been named as one of the world's top 300 female transactional lawyers in IFLR1000 Women Leaders for 2020, 2019 and 2018 for debt capital markets and banking. She is also listed as a leading individual for debt capital markets and high yield in Asia Pacific Legal 500, IFLR 1000 and Chambers Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Ashurst, Anna-Marie worked in London and Hong Kong at a leading international law firm headquartered in the US. She has also worked in both New York and London for a major New York law firm.
