Peter Ward is a partner in the litigation and dispute resolution group in Perth.  Peter has particular expertise and experience in large-scale construction and infrastructure project disputes, domestic and international arbitration, government contracting and public law matters.

In addition to dispute resolution, his practice extends to early intervention advice to avoid disputes and advising on incentive-based contracting in the specialist area of materiel acquisition and sustainment, including procurement processes, contract negotiations and contract drafting.

Peter has more than 15 years' experience, both as a solicitor and as an advocate.  He has appeared as counsel in numerous arbitration hearings and in reported cases in the Federal Court of Australian and in State and Territory Supreme Courts, as well as in appellate courts.  His main clients include multinational resource and engineering companies, Australian Government agencies and listed corporations.

Clients have praised Peter's ability to quickly recognise and understand highly technical issues, particularly in engineering fields, and his articulate and persuasive negotiation skills.  Clients have also commended the quality of Peter's advice in difficult commercial negotiations and his ability to work under pressure.  He is recommended as a reliable, personable and trusted legal advisor whose advice is practical and sensible.
