Our associated Indonesian firm, Oentoeng Suria &
Partners (OSP), was formed in 2010 by the long associated
international practice of Indonesian commercial law firm Soebagjo
Jatim Djarot (SJD) and major Australian law firm Blake Dawson.
Blake Dawson and SJD enjoyed a close association for over 20 years.
Ashurst's association with OSP builds on the values, client focused
service, and technical expertise that characterises the
long-standing SJD-Blake Dawson relationship. OSP continues to
provide dedicated on-the-ground support to our Indonesian and
international clients, and through the association with Ashurst's
Australian practice, maintains the longest continuous associated
presence in Indonesia of any major Australian law firm.
Our deep understanding of the Indonesian legal, commercial and
cultural environment means we are well equipped to offer sound
advice for foreign investors and clients to achieve their
objectives in Indonesia. Equally, we can help our Indonesian
clients understand the approach to negotiations and documentation
taken by their international trade and investment partners. We also
provide our Indonesian clients with advice and assistance on their
trade and investment activities in Australia.
OSP's partners are prominent in Indonesian business and academic
circles, as well as Asia Pacific business and legal associations.
They are regularly involved in law and regulatory drafting programs
on foreign investment and industry. All lawyers at OSP are fluent
in English as well as Bahasa Indonesia.
Our associated practice in Indonesia provides a broad range of
