A tailored approach to deliver the best outcome for you
Any incidence of employee misconduct that may result in dismissal must usually be investigated. We assist you by:
- conducting workplace investigations (often subject to legal privilege);
- providing a seamless service where there are regulatory or criminal implications;
- advising on the conduct and outcomes of investigations;
- instructing external investigators to conduct investigations;
- guiding and coaching your people to conduct workplace investigations; and
- training your people on how to conduct an effective legally compliant workplace investigation.
Determining the right response and delivering procedural fairness
We help you to identify when an investigation may be appropriate, and the form it should take. We also guide you about the processes that should be followed when conducting investigations to be able to rely on the outcomes of the investigation in any subsequent disciplinary action or litigation.
Empowering your people
We provide your people with the training and tools they need to conduct internal investigations themselves. This hands-on investigation training uses realistic case scenarios and skill building activities.
When an investigation is not the right response: workplace mediations
We help you to recognise when an investigation is not, or no longer, the right response. In some cases, workplace conflict is best resolved by "future focused" mediation, rather than a "past focused" investigation. We help you to manage your compliance and procedural fairness obligations and to appoint and brief appropriately qualified mediators.
