Renée Amundsen is Head of Legal Project Management & Legal Process Improvement for Ashurst Advance in APAC
Renée leads the Ashurst Legal Project Management (LPM) & Legal Process Improvement (LPI) teams for Ashurst Advance. She is a senior commercial lawyer and project manager with over 18 years experience across in-house, private practice & legal operations.
Renee has managed many large, complex and cross-jurisdictional matters. Her focus is on creating diverse solutions for clients and legal teams to ensure that matters run as efficiently and successfully as possible.
The LPM team assist matter teams with planning and managing the work to be done ensuring that client objectives inform the scope, plans and budget. They ensure transparency of costs and progress and that communication between the team and the client is of the highest standard.
The LPI team is focussed on continuous improvement. They are experts at mapping processes and working with teams to make improvements to processes ensuring the way we work and the way our clients work is always the most efficient.
Renée is also a certified Design Thinking facilitator and assists with implementing organisational change.
Prior to Ashurst Advance, Renée was a Senior Legal Project Manager at another large law firm, a Senior Associate in a global law firm, and a Senior Lawyer & Claims Executive in one of the world's largest marine & off-shore insurance companies.
