As an experienced litigator, Rayn acts frequently as lead counsel in employment matters before the Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court, Fair Work Commission, Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission and the State Administrative Tribunal.
Rayn practised as a barrister in South Africa for more than 18 years, specialising in labour law/industrial relations. For the last two years of his practice in South Africa, Rayn did so as Senior Counsel. During the course of his practice as a barrister, Rayn represented a number of large multinational employers in a wide range of industries including mining and resources, construction, financial services, automotive, manufacturing, telecommunications and food and beverage. Rayn also represented a range of state and parastatal institutions.
