Philip's practice covers all aspects of financial regulation and licensing. He is a key adviser to local and foreign banks and financiers, including in relation to asset financing, regulated lending and payment systems. Philip is sought after for the clarity of his analysis and advice, as well as for his ability to envisage and find solutions. Philip's advisory practice covers both general compliance advice as well as the provision of expert guidance in connection with the acquisition or disposal of regulated businesses.
Philip has considerable experience in drafting market facing finance contracts, in conducting compliance reviews for regulated businesses and in advising on the transfers and sales of regulated businesses and their assets. He also provides advice to payment system providers such as Visa and has a particular focus on the legal complexities affecting the providers of retail financial services.
