Nicholas Monks

Nicholas specialises in the development, financing and acquisition of energy, resources and infrastructure projects in developing and developed markets in Europe and the Asia-Pacific, with a particular focus on power.

Nicholas' experience includes advising sponsors and lenders on renewable energy, energy-from-waste, nuclear and conventional power projects in the UK, Turkey, Oman, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia, the Philippines and Japan. Nicholas has advised on project documents, finance agreements, sale agreements, joint venture arrangements and regulatory issues.

Nicholas was previously seconded to the legal department of a Japanese trading company and is fluent in Japanese.

Nicholas is qualified in Australia (Western Australia) and England & Wales.
