Michael Ryland is a senior adviser in our investment funds practice
Michael is an investment funds expert, specialising in property and infrastructure funds, with a particular focus on funds establishment, funds M&A and cross-border investment.
He has over 30 years of broad-ranging experience in commercial law, has worked in Australia, Japan and Indonesia, and has spent two years as a full-time Commissioner of the Australian Law Reform Commission.
Michael also leads Ashurst's impact investment practice in Australia, advising social enterprises, governments, philanthropic investors and other participants on a range of social finance and related projects. This includes work on social infrastructure projects, health and aged care facilities, and community initiatives and projects.
