Christopher specialises in resources matters, with particular expertise in disputes arising from the development and operation of significant resources projects.
Christopher has acted for major Australian and international companies on complex disputes relating to joint ventures, mining royalties and the Native Title Act. Those disputes have involved litigation in the High Court, the Federal Court and various State courts, as well as international and domestic arbitrations.
Christopher has also advised clients on significant commercial matters relating to the development and operation of resources projects, including the drafting and interpretation of mining royalty arrangements, asset sale agreements, and complex contract and trust arrangements between mining companies and native title groups.
Christopher also has significant experience in advising clients on tenure and land access issues, including appearing in Wardens Court proceedings.
