Astrid is an associate in the antitrust, regulation and foreign investment department in Brussels. Astrid's practice focuses on EU competition law, including state aid, antitrust compliance, cartels and merger control.
She particularly focuses on merger control, foreign direct investment (FDI) and EU/UK state aid and subsidy control matters. She has also advised several clients on the new Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) and has built up experience in litigation proceedings.
Prior to joining Ashurst, Astrid worked in the competition team of another international law firm in Brussels. She completed her legal studies in France before pursuing her LL.M. in European Competition Law and Regulation at the University of Amsterdam and concluding her legal training with an internship at a DG COMP unit of the European Commission.
Astrid is registered at the Brussels Bar.
