Senior associate Jacqueline Chan was presented the Insolvency Award. Jacqueline is based in Ashurst's Melbourne office, in the restructuring and special situations group practice. She has had experience in both front end restructuring and formal insolvency procedures. Her experience has included acting for liquidators, administrators, receivers and affected creditors. Jacqueline has also been involved in insolvency planning for creditors of distressed companies and Chinese clients. She has also acted in relation to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
Associate Jack Heithersay was named the winner of the Competition, Regulation and Trade Award. Sitting within the Competition team in Sydney, Jack focuses on working with clients to achieve their strategic objectives within the bounds of competition and consumer laws. He has extensive experience supporting complex merger clearances and defending clients in investigations and legal actions by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, with major corporate clients in sectors including media, manufacturing, digital economy, healthcare and energy.
