Mario Lisanti, partner and head of the Italian banking team, was named Leveraged Finance Lawyer of the Year, with the jury noting that "over the last 12 months, thanks to his efforts, the Italian banking team has consolidated the relationship with its clients and, at the same time, has advised on several top-tier deals, including a number of leveraged finance transactions having an Italian target".
The Italian infrastructure group was also recognised for its role in advising on the financing of Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda, with a team led by partner Umberto Antonelli, which was named Deal of the Year. The judges commended the transaction for its impact on the market, "both in terms of value and strategic importance of the project for the infrastructure sector".
