Ashurst strengthens infrastructure disputes capability with arbitration partner hire

    Bill Smith joins from Pinsents, where he has been a partner in Dubai since 2012, having previously been a partner in Blake Dawson (now Ashurst) in Sydney from 2005-2011.

    Bill's primary focus is international arbitration and he regularly sits as an arbitrator in cases in the MENA region. He also has extensive experience in litigation, expert determination, adjudication and alternative dispute resolution, and regularly advises clients on the restructuring of distressed infrastructure projects. Bill has advised on major projects in a number of sectors including transport, energy & resources, defence and technology across the Middle East, Australia, UK, Continental Europe and the Caribbean.
