The firm ranked 59th in the list of 75 employers across all industries and professions in providing the most positive experience to new graduates.

The rankings were determined from survey feedback gathered from over 2,500 graduates who joined a graduate program in 2016 and have had 12 months of full-time experience with their employer. Graduates were asked to rank their employer across 25 different categories including the firm's training and development program, quality of work, career progression, work/life balance and company culture.

Head of HR Australia Richard Knox comments: "Many of our most inspiring and successful lawyers joined Ashurst as graduates and it is important to recognise the valuable contributions that our graduate pool makes to the firm. For this reason, attracting and retaining the best talent at a graduate level remains a key focus across the entire business."

The Top Graduate Employers List is now in its fifth year and is compiled by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers, which is the peak body for the graduate recruitment and development market.

The ranking follows the 2017 Ashurst Law award being presented to Jasmin Jade Hamade from the University of Sydney at the Top 100 Graduate Employer and Future Leaders Awards on 9 February.
