Global Restructuring Review (GRR) is the trusted source of worldwide news and analysis for restructuring and insolvency practitioners. The "40 under 40" list recognises the world's leading young restructuring specialists.

Sophie, who leads Ashurst's restructuring and insolvency team in Hong Kong, has a deep understanding of how cross-border restructurings work in the region and has worked on a number of the most recent high-profile restructurings in Asia.

Sophie commented: "I'm very flattered. Hong Kong is a unique market where we are often required to come up with creative solutions in order to achieve the best and most commercial outcome for our clients. This recognition very much reflects the trust our clients place in us and the quality of the work that we do at Ashurst."

Ashurst continues to invest in the Asia region's restructuring and insolvency practice with the hire of partner Robert Child in the Singapore office in 2021.

Alinta, who is a partner in Ashurst's restructuring and special situations team in Australia, has expertise in large cross border corporate restructuring, refinancing, formal insolvency and special situations work and specialises in complex multi-jurisdictional financial restructuring matters.

Alinta commented: "I am excited to be one of the next generation of partners driving a restructuring of the Australian restructuring market. From New York, to Melbourne and old London town I have had the opportunity to be at the core of restructuring on a truly global stage. To me, this recognition highlights the bench strength and truly world class expertise that is the Ashurst restructuring team."
