The Asia Women in Business Law Awards recognise the achievements and advancement of women in the legal profession throughout Asia Pacific. This year's winners were honoured at the annual awards ceremony held last night, 8 November 2018, in Hong Kong.
Global head of high yield, Anna-Marie Slot, has a wealth of experience acting for banks and corporates in a wide range of corporate finance and securities transactions. She has led many high-profile and first-of-a-kind high-yield debt and green bonds offerings, including advising on Greenko's US$1 billion green bond offering, which was India's first ever high yield green bond, and also advised Studio City on its US$1.2 billion high yield bond offering.
Pauline Tan, co-head of real estate in Australia, has extensive experience in all types of real estate transactions and in providing strategic advice on commercial and legal real estate issues, including direct and indirect investments. Pauline continues to advise on a number of large scale, cross-border real estate deals and was recently one of the key advisors to Oxford Properties on its A$3.35 billion acquisition of Investa.
Global markets partner Caroline Smart specialises in advising financial institutions, corporations and sovereigns on debt capital markets transactions. Over the past 12 months, she has played a key role on a number of high-profile deals in the domestic market, including advising on the update of Anheuser-Busch InBev's medium term note programme, which given the scale of the transaction was considered one of 2017's benchmark trades.
