Ashurst has advised Castellana Properties SOCIMI on the acquisition from Spanish largest department store El Corte Inglés of certain properties located in two shopping centres in Spain, known as Los Arcos (in Sevilla) and Bahía Sur (in Cádiz) for a total price of 36,800,000 Euros.

The Ashurst team was led by Madrid real estate and tax partners Ismael Fernández Antón and Javier Hernández Galante, assisted by counsel Joaquín Macías and associates Paula Quintillán, Laura Sánchez and Carmen García on the real estate aspects of the transaction and by senior associate Ricardo García-Borregón and associate Juan de la Lastra on the tax aspects of the transaction.
