International law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Noam Ankri as partner in its corporate practice in Paris.

Noam joins from the London office of DLA Piper, where he has been since 2015, after having joined their Paris office in 2013 from the Paris office of Fried Frank. Noam began his career at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in Paris in 2001, prior to moving to New York, where he specialised in private equity before focusing on bankruptcy law. He joined Fried Frank in Paris in 2006.

His current practice focuses on all types of complex cases involving an international component and is split between corporate (including cross border LBOs and M&A) and restructuring (including all types of distressed situations with a particular focus on distressed M&A and debt restructurings).  His clients include large corporates, private equity funds and numerous London-based hedge funds.

Commenting, Philippe None, managing partner of Ashurst in Paris, said:

"Having worked in New York, London and Paris, and valued for his dual capability, Noam brings with him broad and deep experience and expertise in corporate / private equity as well as restructuring and special situations. We are confident that he will make an excellent addition to the team, and help further develop the firm's relationships in the private equity and credit fund communities."

    Noam Ankri added:

"The firm's strong global corporate and restructuring credentials, its European and Asia Pacific platforms and enviable client base, make this an exciting opportunity and ideal to further developing a fully integrated practice, particularly in the cross-border acquisitions and restructuring space."

This follows the recent appointments in Paris of corporate partners Vincent Trevisani and Anne Reffay, dispute resolution partners Emmanuelle Cabrol and Hortense de Roux, tax partner Emmanuelle Pontnau-Faure, finance partner Pierre Roux, and the promotion of Nataline Fleury as employment partner.
