Ashurst boosts restructuring team with new partner in Sydney

    Bernie's practice covers restructuring, insolvency and special situations with a focus on transactional work in the private capital market. He also acts for insolvency practitioners on contentious administration or liquidation matters, including recovery actions, and has advised on a number of significant insolvency disputes in Australia.

    With experience acting for clients including private equity funds and their specific portfolio companies, as well as significant alternative capital providers and major banks, Bernie will complement Ashurst's already market-leading restructuring offering. Ashurst's restructuring practice has been consistently ranked band 1 in Chambers Asia Pacific and tier 1 in Legal 500 Australia. 

    Bernie joins Ashurst from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he has been a partner since January 2020.
