Alastair has over 11,000 runs in his Test match career (including lifting his bat for 30 centuries) and over the coming year his bat will bear the Ashurst logo. Alastair will also be participating in a number of bespoke events, including a large scale Q&A which will involve Charlotte Edwards CBE, who captained England women's team for 10 years.

Alastair held the position as captain for five years and 59 tests and is England highest ever run scorer. Having made his debut for England when he was just 21, his career highlights include captaining the series winning side in India in 2012 and scoring 766 runs in five tests against Australia in the Ashes of 2010-2011, which was England’s first win on Australian soil for 24 years. He also went on to win two Ashes series as captain, and is the youngest ever batsman to score 11,000 runs beating Sachin Tendulkar's record in the process.
