Ashurst advises Warburg-HIH Invest on acquisition of H-LAB at Potsdam Science Park

    Ashurst advised Warburg-HIH Invest Real Estate (Warburg-HIH Invest) on the acquisition of the office and laboratory complex "H-LAB" at the Potsdam Science Park. Warburg-HIH Invest concluded the investment as part of a club deal for two investors. The seller and developer is PROJECT Immobilien Gewerbe AG. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

    The office and laboratory complex is being built at Am Mühlenberg in Potsdam-Golm and has a gross lettable area of approximately 4,600 sqm. The four-storey building with state-of-the-art technical facilities and flexible floor plans is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2021. The long-term anchor tenant will be the University of Potsdam. With around 2,500 employees and about 9,000 students, the conveniently located Potsdam Science Park is one of the largest and most innovative science locations in the Berlin/Brandenburg metropolitan region.
